A similar thing happened to me a while back when I had my Z31. I was travelling at the speed limit going down a 4 lane (plus turn lane) road. A lady in an SUV pulls into the turn lane attempting to turn left (in the opposite direction that I was travelling in). She stops in the turn lane to wait for traffic to clear for the rest of her left hand turn (which is illegal, by the way). She leaves the ass-end of her behemoth hanging out in my lane. I couldn't get over to my right far enough to avoid an impact (another car was occupying the lane). Bam. She tried to leave, but since my Z was spun around anyway (wet road) I was facing the right direction to follow her and flag her down. Cops show up and hear the whole "Even though I wasn't paying attention, never saw him coming, and left the back end of my vehicle hanging out into traffic during an illegal turn, he was going too fast since he's young and driving a sports car and it's therefore his fault" line. The nice officer gave her a ticket full of STFU. Long story short: I feel your pain, hang in there!
